Cactus is looking for a driven and experienced IT Recruiter to join our recruitment team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in IT recruitment, with exposure to hiring across the UK and/or European markets.


The role involves managing end-to-end recruitment for both contract and permanent IT positions, sourcing high-quality candidates through multiple channels, and working closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to fulfil requirements efficiently.

Experience recruiting for Telecom projects and UK Public Sector roles will be highly preferred. Candidates should also have a good understanding of UK employment types, IR35 regulations, and security clearance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from understanding job requirements and sourcing candidates to screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding support.

  • Source and engage qualified IT professionals across the UK and European markets using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV-Library, JobServe, job boards, internal databases, referrals, and other sourcing channels.

  • Recruit for both contract and permanent positions across a range of IT and technology skill sets.

  • Work closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand technical requirements, project needs, timelines, and candidate expectations.

  • Conduct initial candidate screening to assess technical suitability, experience, availability, communication skills, salary/day-rate expectations, and right-to-work status.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and upcoming requirements.

  • Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience.

  • Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, manage offer negotiations, and support successful candidate placements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and recruitment records within internal systems and databases.

  • Develop an understanding of UK Public Sector recruitment requirements, including compliance and security clearances such as BPSS, SC, and DV.

  • Stay informed about UK and European recruitment trends, talent availability, market rates, and employment regulations.

  • Work towards recruitment targets and KPIs in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
