About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence & Performance Analystto support data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation. You will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights, developing performance dashboards, and supporting operational and strategic planning. This role requires strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to improve organisational performance.
You will work closely with business teams, service owners, and leadership to interpret trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that performance reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain programme‑level dashboards, reports, and performance packs for senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Analyse delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and KPIs to support programme decision‑making.
Produce accurate AWS cloud cost reporting, including forecasting, usage analysis, cost optimisation insights, and spend tracking across environments.
Work with technical teams to understand cloud architecture, cost drivers, and consumption patterns.
Support the development and monitoring of KPIs, SLAs, and performance frameworks across the programme.
Provide deep‑dive analysis on delivery performance, operational trends, and financial impacts.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems and data sources.
Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Collaborate with delivery managers, architects, engineers, and finance teams to ensure alignment between delivery progress, technical activity, and financial reporting.
Present insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, ensuring transparency and informed decision‑making.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Performance Analyst, PMO Analyst, or similar analytical role within public‑sector or large‑scale transformation programmes.
Strong proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) for dashboarding and data visualisation.
Experience analysing cloud spend, ideally AWS, including cost allocation, tagging, forecasting, and optimisation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into meaningful insights.
Proficiency with SQL and advanced Excel for data extraction, modelling, and analysis.
Experience producing programme‑level reporting packs, KPI dashboards, and performance summaries.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including delivery, engineering, finance, and operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
What We Are Looking For:
Familiarity with AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, CUR, tagging strategies).
Understanding of cloud architecture concepts (EC2, Lambda, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, or cloud‑based data platforms.
Knowledge of public‑sector governance, reporting cycles, and performance frameworks.
Experience supporting large‑scale digital transformation or cloud migration programmes
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capability.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently.
